LT. DANAHER PRISONER of WAR, PARENTS NOTIFIED

Former Manager of Milling Company Here First Reported Missing

Second Lieutenant Robert W. DANAHER is a prisoner of war in Germany, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James E. DANAHER, Caledonia, Minn., were notified by a telegram from the war department Tuesday.

Lt. DANAHER had previously been reported missing in action when his bomber failed to return from a bombing mission over Germany on Aug. 6.

Prior to his entry into the service in August of 1941, Lt. DANAHER was manager of the International Milling company in Mason City.

NOTE: 2nd Lt. DANAHER was liberated, date unknown, and returned to the United States.
