Pfc. Dahl Missing in Action in France Since November 10

Pfc. Robert H. DAHL has been missing in action in France since Nov. 10, it was stated in a telegram received here by his sister, Mrs. James C. KELSO, 113 1/2 North Federal.

Pfc. DAHL had been returned to the front in France on Sept. 2 after having been hospitalized in England for 2 months following wounds received in action during the invasion of France. He had been awarded the purple heart and also a citation for "extraordinary bravery."

As a civilian, Pfc. DAHL was employed by the Chessman Plumbing company in Mason City. His wife and son live at New London an his parents live at Boone. He was inducted into the service from Mason City in April, 1942.

TAKES MANLY JOB

Manly - Robert DAHL, of Mason City, recently released from war service, has accepted a position with the Cordle plumbing shop at Manly. Mr. DAHL and Mr. CORDLE worked together before DAHL entered the service when both were living at Mason City. DAHL was a prisoner in Germany for more than 9 months. He is married and has a son 3 years old.
