CLYMER, CHASE AND SHERMAN

I have hit many brick walls trying to find the names of my gggrandfther's parents or his true place of birth. Isaac J.H. Sherman married Lavinia Clymer Chase 17 Aug. 1870 in Cedar County. While the marriage certificate won't show the names of the parents, the application for the marriage certificate may have this info. The application is not online, and needs to be looked up in county records. I live in Colorado and cannot make the trip at this time.
