Last rites for Kenneth John Kadlec, 73, were held at Horner's Funeral home, Mechanicsville Jan. 27 with the Rev. David Glenn Burns officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery with military rites by the Busch-Dennis post of the American Legion. Pallbearers were Jim and Steve Agne, Donald Miller and Jeffrey, Bradley and Timothy Davidson. Honorary bearers were Carl Agne, Jim Lehman, Bill Dickey, Elmer Border and Don Kamerling. Frances Robinson was organist.
Mr. Kadlec died at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids Jan. 24.
The son of Wesley and Frances Psota Kadlec, he was born at West Branch May 28, 1914. He was married to Margaret Rife at Iowa City Oct. 91, 1938.
Mr. Kadlec was a meatcutter. He served in the US navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Carmen Davidson, Mechanicsville; a brother, Ray, Bel Aire, Md.; a sister, Mary Frances Hadix, Colorado Springs, Colo. and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.
