Adline Hope Palmer, 86, died at Cedar Manor Jan. 25. Following her wishes, her body was donated to the department of anatomy at University hospitals, Iowa City. There will be no service at this time. The body will be cremated and burial will take place at a later date.

The daughter of David and Anna Fankhauser Palmer, she was born at Tipton July 29, 1901 and graduated from Tipton high school in 1920. She graduated from the University of Iowa and was a social worker in Cook county, Ill. and the city of Chicago for 40 years. She had returned to Tipton 18 months ago.

She served in the army in World War II with the rank of sergeant.

She is survived by a nephew, Richard B. Palmer, Tipton and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
