Funeral services for Ronald Baer, 20, Downey, will be held today, Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1987 at 1:30 p.m. at the Barker Funeral Home in West Branch, with the Rev. Samuel J. Hahn officiating. Burial will be in the Muscatine Memorial Park cemetery.

Mr. Baer died Aug. 30 near his home in Downey of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The son of Robert and Judith Anne Bowman Baer, he was born Feb. 4, 1967 in Muscatine. He graduated from West Branch high school in 1985 and worked for Bowman Trucking Co. in Downey.

Mr. Baer is survived by his parents, Bentonville, Ark.; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Baer, Muscatine and Mrs. Blanche Bowman, Downey and 2 brothers, Robert and Richard, both of Bentonville. He was preceded in death by a grandfather.
