Last rites for Mrs. Leon (Marjorie Ruth Colby) Conway, 60, Lisbon, were held at the United Methodist church, Mechanicsville, May 7 with the Rev. Dick Harberts officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. A memorial fund has been established to the intensive care unit of St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. Conway died at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, May 4.

Born near Mechanicsville Oct. 20, 1924, she graduated from St. Thomas Mercy hospital school of nursing in Marshalltown in 1946. She was married to Leon Conway in Mechanicsville Aug. 17, 1947. He died in 1981. The family moved to Lisbon from Mechanicsville in 1970.

Mrs. Conway was a registered nurse and worked in the office of Dr. H. E. O'Neal in Tipton for 18 years before becoming a member of the staff of the Hallmark Nursing Home in Mt. Vernon in 1966. She was head nurse and administrator before retiring in 1977.

She was a member of the United Methodist church, Mechanicsville, the Red Cross Nurses association of Cedar Rapids and the Linn County Farm Bureau.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Niedert, Waterloo; a son, William, Fenton, Mo.; a sister, Violet Jane Hoy, Mechanicsville and 2 grandchildren.
