Funeral services for Mrs. John (Alma) Petersen, 89, were held at Zion Lutheran church, Wilton Sept. 1 with the Rev. Curtis Moermond officiating. Burial was in Pine Hill cemetery, Davenport. The organist was Willis Clausen. Pallbearers were Mike, Steve, Neil and Scott Petersen, Larry McBride, Randy Hawkins and Delmar Nagel.

Mrs. Petersen died at the Bethesda Care center Aug. 30.

The daughter of Adolph and Ida Conrad Niehuus, she was born at Davenport Dec. 6, 1894. She was married to John Petersen April 10, 1913. He died in 1945. She was a member of Zion Lutheran church, Wilton and the Durant Royal Neighbors of America.

She is survived by a son, Arthur M., Durant; 2 daughters, Mrs. John (Ann) Nagel, Long Grove and Mrs. Ruth Voelkers, Durant; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 6 stepgrandchildren; 8 great-stepgrandchildren and 2 great-great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and 2 brothers.
