Final rites for Mrs. Charles (Martha) Brown, 96, were held at the Wilton Presbyterian church Sept. 7 with the Rev. G. W. Ukena officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery. Mrs. Brown died in California Sept. 2.

The daughter of Henry and Kathryn Claussen, she was born at Beatrice Neb. Dec. 14, 1887. She was married to Charles Brown in Wilton Dec. 14, 1908. He died in 1954.

She is survived by a son, Marvin C., Wilton; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Mildred) Abrego, San Diego, Calif.; 3 granddaughters, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister and 2 brothers.
