Funeral services for Carl Wilhelm Diepholz, 87, were held at St. Paul's Lutheran church, Bennett, April 17 with the Rev. Daniel Ognoskie officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Koch, Lynn Phelps, A. S. Petersen, Harley Steinke, Ralph Becker and Lloyd Hein. Perry Schroeder was organist.

Mr. Diepholz died at the Crestview Care center, West Branch, April 14.

The son of Christian and Louisa Kleimeier Diepholz, he was born at Troy, IL Sept. 29, 1896 and was educated in the Troy schools.

A retired farmer and carpenter, he had lived in the Bennett area before coming to Tipton in 1960. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church, Bennett.

He is survived by a brother, William, Tory, IL and 4 nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
