Funeral services for Joseph W. Fitzpatrick, 90, were held at St. Bernadette's Catholic church, West Branch, March 16 with the Rev. Brian Miclot officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery, Cedar Valley. Pallbearers were Murray Gibson, M. M. McCarty, Bud Chase, Derald Brecht, Bruce Jeffries, Kenneth Beeler, Ronald Ellyson and Raymond VeDepo, all members of the West Branch American Legion. Mrs. Katherine Chase was organist.

Mr. Fitzpatrick died at Crestview Care center, West Branch, March 13.

The son of Daniel C. and Mary Cogley Fitzpatrick, he was born in Cedar county Jan. 21, 1894. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Moose lodge and an honorary member of the American Legion.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. John (Teresa) Cahill, Joliet, IL and several nieces and nephews including Mrs. Marguerite Reilley, West Branch, with whom he made his home.
