Funeral services for Mrs. John (Ella E.) Pfettscher, 82, Tipton, were held at St. John's church, Clarence, March 19 with the Rev. Calvin Schumacher officiating. Burial was in the Clarence cemetery. Pallbearers were Everett Sander, Duane Hanna and Allen, Gary, Sylvan and Marvin Derynck. Mrs. Marvin Derynck and Mrs. Sylvan Derynck were in charge of flowers. Mrs. Robert Hasselbusch was organist.

Mrs. Pfettscher died at Crestview Nursing home, West Branch, March 15.

The daughter of Henry J. and Wilhelmina Kahl Dettman, she was born at Clarence Aug. 19, 1901. She was married to John Pfettscher at Clarence Jan. 5, 1922. He died in 1982. She had been a resident of Tipton for 27 years.

Mrs. Pfettscher is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Jeanette) Derynck, Tipton; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Orville; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
