Funeral services for Edwin W. Johansen, 63, retired Wilton barber, were held at Durant, Nov. 19 with the Rev. L. Jack Ehlers officiating. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery, Wilton.

Mr. Johansen died at St. Luke's hospital, Davenport, Nov. 17, following a long illness.

The son of Fritz and Lornzen Johansen, he was born in Durant, Jan. 18, 1912, and was married to Amelia Bartholoma in Cambridge, Ill., Oct. 22, 1931. He was a barber in Wilton for 45 years, retiring in 1973.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Bonnie) Stephens, Davenport; 3 grandchildren, 3 brothers, Herbert, Durant; Albert, California and Harvey, Illinois and a sister, Mrs. Anna Schlapkohl, Durant. He was preceded in death by a sister.
