Funeral services for William Harold Butler, 66, were held July 12 with the Rev. Lawrence Soens officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mr. Butler died at his home in Mechanicsville July 10.

The son of William J. and Mary Ann Dvorak Butler, he was born at Lisbon. He graduated from Mechanicsville high school and attended business college in Cedar Rapids.

He was married to Alice Stoneking at Denver, Colo. March 18, 1961. They lived in Denver until 1974 when he returned to Mechanicsville where he was in the insurance business.

He was a member of St. Mary's church.

He is survived by his wife, a stepson, Rex B Blaine, Belvidere, Ill., a brother, Lawrence, Cedar Rapids; sisters, Mrs. Geary (Hazel) Conner, Lakewood, Colo. and Mrs. P. J. (Mary June) McCarney, Iowa City; 3 nieces and nephews.
