Services for Ward Williams, 87, were held at Sheets and Son funeral home June 28, with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Roger Morden, Harold Wentzel, Ronald Rife, Charles Kofron, Lester Drumbarger and Donald Mitchell.

Mr. Williams died at the Wilton nursing home June 25, after an extended illness.

The son of Lorenzo and Jenny Thrailkill Williams, he was born in Tipton May 12, 1888 and was a lifelong Tipton resident. He was educated in Tipton schools and was married to May Templeton at Tipton in 1910. Mr. Williams was a painter and decorator.

He is survived by a grandson, Anthony Woods, Assumption, Ill.; 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, a sister and a brother.
