Funeral services for Joe Lamp, 81, were held at the Wittich Funeral Home, Muscatine, June 23, with the Rev. H. C. Hafermann officiating. Burial was in the North Prairie Cemetery, West Liberty.

Mr. Lamp died at Muscatine General Hospital, June 19, after an extended illness.

The son of Henry and Margaret Steffens Lamp, he was born Dec. 30, 1893, in Cedar county, and spent his life in the area. He married Frances Krotz in Tipton, Dec. 25, 1918.

Mr. Lamp was a retired farmer.

He is survived by 3 sons, Russell and Leland, Letts, and Gail, Muscatine; 2 daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Kathleen) Cockerill, Rock Island, and Mrs. Robert (Rosemary) Bryant, Muscatine; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jake Lamp, West Branch; and 2 sisters, Katie Achey and Emma Lafrenz, Tipton. He was preceded in death by his wife, 2 daughters, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
