Last rites for Mrs. Floyd (Ethel) Thompson, 56, were held at First United Methodist church, May 12, with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Monte Gaul, Dr. R. W. Kent, Leonard Hayslett, Donald Camp, Roger Willey and Marshall Blake. George Thordsen was vocalist and Mrs. Kenneth Gould was organist. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Edler were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Thompson died at her home in Tipton, May 9, after an extended illness.

The daughter of William G. and Pauline Schadler Hughes, she was born at Iowa City, May 22, 1918 and graduated from City High school, Iowa City. She was married to Floyd Thompson at Iowa City, July 19, 1940.

She lived in the Iowa City-West Branch area before moving to Tipton in 1964. She was part owner of Guys and Gals, Tipton.

Mrs. Thompson was a member of First United Methodist church.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Steven (Judy) Thompson, Tampa, Fla., a son, William J., Webb City, Mo., and 4 grandchildren.
