Last rites for Ralph Branson, 83, were held at the West Branch Friends church, April 2, with the Rev. Edward English officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Branson died at Crestview Care center, West Branch, March 31.

The son of Newton and Miriam Negus Branson, he was born near West Branch, March 28, 1882. He was married to Gladys Hinchman in West Liberty, Oct. 19, 1917.

He was a dairy farmer until his retirement. Since then he had been employed at Hoover park in West Branch and at a grocery store.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Leulla Davis, West Branch, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, a brother and 3 sisters.
