Funeral services for William Roy Park, 93, Mechanicsville, were held at the Horner Funeral home, Mechanicsville, Feb. 13 with the Rev. Donald Wooge officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Pallbearers were Merle Clifton, J. Robert Ross, Paul Thimmes, Albert Zenishek, John Sauer and Weldon Woods. Mrs. Calvin Robinson was organist.

Mr. Park died at the Americana Nursing center, Cedar Rapids, Feb. 11.

The son of John B. and Emma Shank Park, he was born in Cedar county, Oct. 8, 1881 and attended the rural schools of Cedar county.

He was married to Susie Robinson, Nov. 21, 1905. They were the parents of 4 children. He was married to Gertrude Yule, Jan. 6, 1948.

A farmer and saw mill operator, he spent most of his life in Cedar county. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church, Mechanicsville.

He is survived by his wife, Gertrude, living with her daughter in Cedar Rapids; 3 sons, Woodrow, Albany, Ore.; Chester, Silver Lake, Wash.; Estol, Redding, Calif.; and a daughter, Mrs. Reva Soreson, Cathlamet, Wash.; a brother, Art, Texas; 2 step children, Mrs. Winifred Peet, Cedar Rapids and Ralph Yule, Mechanicsville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers.
