Funeral services for Mrs. Alvina Bachman, 87, Clarence, were held Jan. 31 at St. John's United Church of Christ with the Rev. Calvin Schumacher officiating. Music was provided by the church choir with Mrs. Robert Hasselbusch at the organ. Burial was in St. John's cemetery.

Mrs. Bachman died at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, Jan 27.

Alvina Hansen was born at Clarence May 9, 1887 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Hansen. She was married to William Bachman April 2, 1908 at Clarence. He preceded her in death. She had made her home in Clarence with the exception of the last 3 years when she lived in Marion.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Velma Wright, and a son, Harold both of Marion; 2 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
