Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Rummells Pieper, 92 and Mrs. Clara Crozer Endsley, 97, were held at the West Branch Methodist church Jan. 20 with the Rev. Max Paige officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Pallbearers were Wayne, Donald and Warren Rummels, John and Chris Kofoed and John E. Thompson. Mrs. Marilyn Seward was organist.

Both died at the Crestview Care center in West Branch Jan. 16 and 17. They were sisters-in-law.

Jessie Endsley, daughter of James Oliver and Elizabeth Embree Endsley, was born in West Branch Sept. 6, 1883 and was married to Charles Albert (Bert) Rummells in 1901. They lived in Downey until 1906 when they moved to West Branch. He died in 1941. She later married Charles Pieper who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by 2 sons, Lawrence and Clifford Rummells, a sister, Mabel Rummells, Iowa City; 5 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 6 brothers.
