Funeral services for Harry E. Ailey, a native of Tipton, were held in Brownwood, Texas, Nov. 13. Mr. Ailey died Nov. 11 in the Brownwood Community hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack.

He was born in Tipton March 4, 1917. He was pressroom superintendent for the Brownwood Bulletin at the time of his death. He had worked for the Brownwood paper since September, 1948.

He served 5 years in the army, including service in the European theater of operations during World War II. He was discharged as a sergeant.

He married Jean Ruth McDaniel in Dallas July 6, 1942. He was a member of the Central United Methodist church and had lived in Brownwood since 1948.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Janet Shampanore, Garland, Texas; 4 brothers, Paul, Houston, Texas; Melvin, Richmond, Calif.; DeWayne, Tipton and Raymond, Winter Park, Fla.
