Last rites for Burdette (Bert) Agne, 91, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2 at the First United Methodist church with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Graveside Masonic services will be conducted by Cedar Lodge AF&AM.

George Thordsen will be vocalist and Mrs. Kenneth Gould will be organist. Mrs. Henry Mente and Bessie Montz are in charge of flowers.

Visitation is at the Dy Funeral home, starting at 3 p.m. today (Aug. 1).

Mr. Agne died at his home July 30, following a lingering illness.

The son of Henry and Anna Geller Agne, he was born at Tipton Dec. 25, 1883. He was a graduate of Tipton high school and attended Iowa State university, Ames.

He was married to Adah Nebergall Oct. 16, 1936. He farmed until 1943 when he moved to Tipton, but he continued to work for many years. He was a lifetime resident of the Tipton area.

He was a 50 year member of the Masonic lodge, a member of the Farm Bureau and the Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife, a stepson, Leo Nebergall, Tipton, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Wayne (Ihlo Fae) Leinbaugh, Lost Nation, 6 step-grandchildren, 14 step-great-grandchildren and 4 nieces.
