Funeral services for Roy R. Rorick, 83, Bennett, were held at Peace United Church of Christ, Bennett, March 8 with the Rev. Dennis Lamont officiating. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery, Wilton.

Pallbearers were Richard Heisch, Marlin Homrighausen, Albert Waller, Pete Thies, Kenneth Jordan and Evans Waller. Mrs. Ernest Riedesel was organist and Mr. and Mrs. Mrs. Riedesel were vocalists.

Mr. Rorick died at his home March 5 following an extended illness.

The son of James and Sarah Smith Rorick, he was born Jan. 18, 1891 in the same home where he died. He was educated in the rural schools of the area.

He was married to Florence Ripson April 29, 1915 and farmed in the area south of Bennett until he retired.

He is survived by 2 sons, Wilbur and Ralph, both of Bennett and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, a brother, a sister, and a grandchild.
