7 March 1974 - The Tipton Conservative

Last rites for Don Conway, 45, were held at the Gay Funeral home, Iowa City, March 4 with burial in Memory Gardens, Iowa City. Pallbearers were Harley Dallege and Ralph Spies, Tipton and Steve Courtney, Bill Ruhlow, Ted Blair and Ray Thomson, Iowa City.

Mr. Conway died at University hospitals, Iowa City, March 2.

The son of Walter and Irma Conway, he was born April 11, 1928. He was married to Naomi Wordsworth March 27, 1950.

They farmed in the Tipton area until 1968 when they moved to Solon, later moving to Iowa City, where he was employed by University hospitals at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Kathy, at home; Mrs. Robert (Karen) Hanes, Solon; a son, Rick, at home; a grandson, Jamie Hanes, Solon; 3 sisters, Mrs. Norman (Virginia) King, Mechanicsville; Mrs. Leonard (Maxine) Schluensen, Bettendorf and Mrs. William (Helen) Mueller, Pasadena, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters.
