Funeral services for Bertha Bashor, 84, Downey, were held at the Snider Funeral home, West Liberty, Feb. 13, with the Rev. Robert Paige officiating. Burial was in the Downey cemetery. Mrs. Bashor died at the Hershey Convalescent home, Muscatine, Feb 9.

The daughter of Michael and Minnie Schmidt Weinard, she was born at McClean, Ill., Dec. 30, 1889 and was married to John Bashor at Downey May 14, 1924.

She spent most of her life in Downey. She was a member of the Downey Baptist church.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George (Betty) Thompson, Minneapolis, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
