Last rites for Mrs. Irwin F. (Zeta) Hayenga, 82, were held at the Dye Funeral home, Feb. 9 with the Rev. Donald Kehrli and the Rev. Ernest Lauer officiating. Services were also held at the Zoar Presbyterian church, George, Feb. 11 with the Rev. Henry Schoon officiating. Burial was in the Zoar Presbyterian cemetery at George.

Pallbearers were Marlyn Symens, Robert Kannegieter, Fredwin Trei, Bert and Maurice Klaassen and Dan Felt. Mrs. Ernest Lauer was organist.

Mrs. Hayenga died at Cedar Manor following a lengthy illness Feb. 7.

The daughter of Ralph and Sarah Turner Vernon, she was born at Anita March 8, 1891 and graduated from Anita high school. She was married to the Rev. Irwin F. Hayenga at Anita Dec. 28, 1917.

She had lived at Coggon and Shellsburg before moving to Tipton.

Mrs. Hayenga was a member of the Presbyterian church at Woden and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for many years.

She is survived by her husband, a son, Ralph, St. Paul, Minn.; a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Amy) Kopsa, Tipton; 8 grandchildren and a brother, Howard T. Vernon, Ardmore, Okla. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, 2 sisters and a daughter.
