Funeral services for Henry John Weih, 87, lifelong resident of the Bennett area, were held at the Sheets and Son Funeral home Nov. 17 with the Rev. E. H. Lauer officiating. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Pallbearers were William Hamann, Leo Meyer, William Flenker, Don and Leo Weih and Grover Penningroth. Mrs. Everett Von Muenster was vocalist and Mrs. Max Phelps organist.

Mr. Weih died at Cedar Manor Nov. 14 following an extended illness.

The son of Paul Jacob and Catherine Bartscher Weih, he was born near Sunbury Feb. 18, 1886 and was educated in the rural schools of Cedar county. He was married to Clara R. Flenker at Dixon Feb. 22, 1911.

He farmed in the Bennett area until 1937. Since that time he had lived in Bennett until moving to Tipton recently.

Mr. Weih is survived by his wife, a son, Clarence, Davenport; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Henrietta) Kugler, Idaho Falls, Ida.; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Nola Weih, Bennett, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul.
