Funeral services for Mrs. Christina Sondergard, 83, were held at Bethany Lutheran church, West Branch, Nov. 7 with the Rev. Erwin Hesterberg officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mrs. Sondergard died at West Branch nursing home Nov. 5 following a long illness.

The daughter of C. P. and Caroline Christensen, she was born in Springdale Oct. 3, 1890 and was married to Marius Sondergard in West Branch May 14, 1913. She was a member of the Bethany Lutheran church.

Surviving are a son, Harold of West Branch; 3 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Alvin, West Branch; Fred, Denver, Colo., and Louis, Victoria, Tex., and 2 sisters, Mrs. Carrie Hopperstad, Wilton and Mrs. Esther Johnson, Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and 3 sisters.
