Burial rites for Raymond Earl Kendall Sr., 79, took place at the Shawl cemetery, Ottumwa Aug. 24. Mr. Kendall died at his farm home 8 miles southeast of Tipton Aug. 22.

The son of Gideon and Dora Gessley Kendall, he was born at Ottumwa, Jan. 28, 1894 and was an employee of John Morrell and company, Ottumwa for 32 years.

He is survived by his wife, 3 sons, Charles, Rock Island, Ill.; Willard, Davenport and Raymond Jr., Tyler, Texas; 2 daughters, Mrs. Elsie V. Dobyns, Tipton and Mrs. Yvonne Smith, Pleasantville and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Dragert, Lyle, Ill.
