Services for Mrs. Adam Thurston, 79, were held at Wilton Jan. 18 with the Rev. Gerald Ukena officiating. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery. Mrs. Thurston died at a Muscatine convalescent home Jan. 15, following a long illness.

Born Jan. 30, 1893, at Washington, she was the daughter of John and Sallie McFarland Neff. She had lived in Wilton 30 years.

Nora Neff married Charley McFarland in 1913. He died in 1936. She married Adam Thurston June 11, 1943 in Missouri. She was a member of the United Brethren church.

Surviving are her husband, Wilton; a son, Earl McFarland, Davenport; 3 daughters, Mrs. Helen Stock, Donohue; Mrs. Carl (Mildred) Kleppe, New Liberty and Mrs. Hans (Wilma) Stock, Davenport; 15 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, 5 brothers and a daughter.
