Graveside services for Vernon Alvin Morehouse, 69, were held at the Rochester cemetery Sept. 25 with the Rev. Gerald Ukema in charge. Mr. Morehouse died at the Utopia nursing home after an extended illness.

The son of Cornelius and Minnie Ford Morehouse, he was born near Rochester Dec. 21, 1901 and spent his life in the Tipton area.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Genevieve Handley, Wilton and a nephew, Guyford Daut, Wilton and a grandniece. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and a brother.
