Last rites were held in Aledo, Ill. Aug. 29 for Mrs. Kenneth Perkins, 59, a native of Tipton.

Mrs. Perkins died in Henderson, Tenn. Aug. 26. She and her husband were returning home from a trip to Florida when she became ill. Death was due to a heart ailment.

The daughter of John and Kate Stubbs, she was born in Tipton May 1, 1911 and attended the Tipton schools, graduating with the first class to graduate in the present Tipton high school.

She was married to Kenneth Perkins in Tipton Dec. 10, 1930 and they lived in Rock Island and Moline, Ill. until 1954 when they purchased the Aledo Maidrite. They have lived in Aledo since then.

She was a member of the College of Regents of the Women of the Moose in Rock Island and the official scorekeeper for the Aledo Mens Bowling association. She was of the Presbyterian faith.

She is survived by her husband, a son, William LaVerne, Hopeville, Ga.; a daughter, Mrs. Forest (Nancy) Greer, Aledo; 2 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Forest Tenley, Stanwood. She was preceded in death by a sister and 2 brothers.
