Last rites for Donald Eugene Pierce, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Pierce of Davenport, were held at Sheets and Son funeral home Feb. 25, with the Rev. Paul Showalter officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Donald Nelson, Louis Wagner, Lewis Pierce, and J. D. Bishop. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist.

Pierce died at Mercy hospital, Davenport, Feb. 22. He had cerebral palsy from birth.

The son of Donald Allen and Pauline Marie (Goff) Pierce, he was born in Davenport July 4, 1947. He lived in Tipton with his parents until 6 years ago when the family moved to Davenport. He was of the Lutheran faith.

He is survived by his parents, a brother, Bruce, at home; 3 sisters, Barbara Jo and Judy, at home and Mrs. Dennis (Vicky) Sellers, Davenport; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Thomas Young, Creston and his maternal grandfather, Ray Goff, Des Moines.
