Funeral services were held at Wilton Jan. 6 for Mrs. Robert (Marian) Schroeder who died at 11:30 p.m. Jan. 3 at her home south of Tipton. The Rev. Van Mantgem officiated. Burial was at the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

The former Marian Brown, 54, was born Sept. 19, 1915 in Cedar county, the daughter of Charles and Elmai Jeffers Brown. She was a life resident of the Tipton area.

She married Robert C. Schroeder Oct. 5, 1947 at Monticello. She was a member of the South Bethel Methodist church of the Order of Eastern Star at Mechanicsville.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Max Safley, Searcy, Ark.; 3 daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Judith) Barclay, Bennett; Mrs. Larry (Twilla) Gray, Aurora, Ill.; and Mrs. G. E. (Kay) Johannsen, Davenport; and 7 grandchildren. Also her father Charles Brown, Stanwood; and a brother, Glenn Brown, Olin.

She was preceded in death by her mother.
