Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Smith, 95, were held at Mechanicsville Jan. 4 with the Rev. James Nelson officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were Weldon Woods, Ben Barnhizer, Emil Dahl, Frank Whitman, Don Davidson and Adolph Ahrens.

Mrs. Smith died in a Mediapolis nursing home Jan. 2.

Ellen Elizabeth Johnson was born at Mediapolis Oct. 22, 1874 and came to Mechanicsville in 1916 and was manager of a millinery store. In 1918 she was married to Albert Smith. He died in 1944.

She lived in Mechanicsville until 1963 when she entered a nursing home.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
