Last rites were held Tuesday in Runge Chapel in Davenport for Marvin Timmermann, 58, formerly of this area. Burial was in the National cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.

Mr. Timmermann died Friday at the VA hospital, Iowa City following several months illness.

He was the son of Philip and Selma Grell Timmermann and was born near Lowden. He had been living in the Davenport area for a number of years.

Surviving him are three daughters; four sons; his mother, Mrs. Selma Timmermann of Crestridge Nursing Home, Maquoketa; two sisters, Mrs. Sylvan (Dorothy) Koch of Wheatland and Mrs. Don (Lorie) Hart of Maquoketa; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
