Everett Keith Boots, 55, of Palo, Ia. died Wednesday, December 18, 1983 at his home following a brief illness.

Born January 21, 1928 at Mechanicsville, he married Katherine Dickey February 9,1957 at Manchester. He was employed by Cedar Rapids Asphalt Paving Co. and was a member of Teamsters Union Local 238, Marion American Legion Post #298 and Moose Lodge # 304. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Everett E. of Grinnell; a daughter, Sherry Lynn Ellis of Cedar Rapids; five sisters, Mrs. Louis Gamble of Mechanicsville, Mrs. Kenneth Fairley of Onslow, Mrs. Charles Harness and Mrs. Leland Meineke, both of Anamosa and Mrs. Andrew Borntrager of Council Bluffs; three stepsons, Phillip Webber of Marion, Steve Webber of Palo and Maurice Webber of Cedar Rapids; a step-daughter, Mrs. Donald Novotny of Marion; and 11 grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday, December 31, 1983 at Teahen Funeral Home. The Rev. Romaine Barber of St. Mark's United Methodist Church officiated. Burial was at the Mechanicsville Cemetery.
