Funeral services for Mrs. Russell Willer, 71, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Tipton. Mrs. Willer died unexpectedly early Thursday at Mercy hospital, Iowa City. Services were conducted by Rev. Eugene Miller and burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery with Sheets and Son in charge.

Pallbearers were 6 grandsons, Bruce, Craig, Stanley and Michael Willer and David and Kevin Dolan. Flower attendants were Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Schneekloth, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Leabhart, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Wilson and Mrs. and Mrs. Richard Ferguson. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist.

The former Dorothy Deardorff, daughter of Edward and Ella Porter Deardorff, was born at Tipton Aug. 4, 1897. She graduated from Tipton high school in 1915 and attended Cornell College, Mt. Vernon, 2 years and was graduated from Leland Powers school of Dramatic Arts, Boston.

She married Russell Willer at Tipton Jan. 5, 1921. She was a lifetime Tipton resident and a member of P.E.O., W.S.C.S., the Nineteenth Century club, American Legion Auxiliary and the Womans club, as well as the United Methodist church.

Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Mrs. John (Phyllis) Dolan, LaGrange, Ill.; 2 sons, Wendell D., Decorah and John W., LaGrange, Ill. and a sister, Mrs. Helen Frink, Tama. A brother, sister and her parents receded her in death.
