Last rites for Fred Foote, 88, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home Feb. 25 with Gordon Smith officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Mrs. Ruby Phelps was organist.
Pallbearers were Frank Loomis, Ernest Werling, Guy Maurer, Clarence Adams, Frank Sailor, George Boddecker.
Mr. Foote died Feb. 22 at the Tipton Custodial home after an extended illness.
The son of Lowell and Amelia Hoffmaster Foote, he was born at Clarence March 22, 1880 and was educated in the schools of rural Cedar county. He was a retired farm laborer, and had lived in Tipton for 40 years.
Mr. Foote was a veteran of World War I.
His is survived by a sister, Mrs. Laura Bratch, Clinton and was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
