Funeral services for Raymond Steege, 65, Clarence businessman, were held Feb. 14 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Stanwood, with the Rev. R. M. Muhl officiating. The men's choir provided the music. Burial was in the Clarence cemetery.

Pallbearers were Howard and Arthur Claney, James Meier, Karl Schnipkoweit, Edwin Griem and Durant Rogers. In charge of the floral tributes were Mrs. Howard Claney, Mrs. Schnipkoweit and Mrs. Ernest Wulff.

Steege died unexpectedly Feb. 11 at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, following knee surgery, Feb. 7. He was born Feb. 9, 1904 in Kansas and was married to Marjorie Curran at Lisbon, July 2, 1929.

Survivors are his wife, a son, Robert; a daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Joanne) Wenndt, Stanwood; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Forristal, and 4 grandchildren.
