Last rites for Mrs. Elizabeth Buckman, 70, West Liberty, were held in the West Liberty Methodist church Oct. 12 with the Rev. Harland T. Gant officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery.

Mrs. Buckman died Oct. 17 at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, after a short illness.

Mrs. Buckman was born Dec. 14, 1897, in Cedar county, the daughter of John and Anna Hipple. She married Raymond Buckman on Jan. 4, 1921, at Martelle.

Surviving are her husband; 2 daughters, Mrs. Jane Husted, Knoxville, and Mrs. Margery Johnson, Sioux City; a brother, Forrest, West Branch; 4 sisters, Mrs. Lance Smith, Tipton, Mrs. Charles Reuter, San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Harold MacGowan and Mrs. Hattie Owen, both of West Liberty, and 3 grandsons.
