Funeral services for Mrs. Monroe (Mae A.) Hemingway, 81, West Branch, were held at the West Branch Methodist church April 2 with the Rev. Roger Tappmeyer officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mrs. Hemingway died at her home in West Branch March 30.

Mrs. Hemingway was born June 11, 1886, at Delhi, and April 8, 1908, married Monroe Hemingway at Iowa City. She was a member of the West Branch Methodist church, the Juanita Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Ely Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include her husband; 3 daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Meek, Vale, S.D., and Mrs. Cordelle Foster and Mrs. Alberta Peterson, West Branch; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 infant daughters and a granddaughter.
