Funeral services for Tina K. Jensen, 93, former resident of West Branch, were held Feb. 24 in Lynwood, Calif. and in West Branch Feb. 26 with burial in the West Branch cemetery.
Mrs. Jensen died Feb. 22 in a Los Angeles hospital. She had lived in Huntington Park, Calif. for 8 years with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Napar.
Mrs. Jensen was born Dec. 13, 1874 in Jutland, Denmark, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Sorensen. She came to the United States in 1880 with her parents, 6 brothers and a sister. One brother, W. O. Jensen, West Branch, survives her.
She was married to Marius Jensen in West Branch in 1898.
She is survived by 3 sons, Arnold, Wickenburg, Ariz.; Harvey, LaGrange, Ill.; Everett, Fairfax, Calif.; 3 daughters, Mrs. Hertha Atkinson, Cheyenne, Wyo.; Mrs. Ina Guthrie, Waukensha, Wis.; and Mrs. Napar; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Mrs. Alma Hansen.
She was the last surviving charter member of the Bethany Lutheran church of West Branch and was the oldest member of St. Paul's Lutheran church, Lynwood, Calif.
