Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret R. Richter Mumm, 75, were held Jan. 12 at St. Paul's Episcopal church in Durant with the Rev. James Barton officiating. Burial was in Durant.

Mrs. Mumm died Jan. 9 at her home in Durant following an extended illness.

She was born March 8, 1892 at Davenport and lived at Durant for the past 53 years.

She married Albert Mumm on June 26, 1915 at Davenport.

Mrs. Mumm was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal church and past president of its women's auxiliary; past grand chief (State office) of the Pythian Sisters; charter member of the Durant American Legion Auxiliary, serving 10 years as secretary, 2 years as county president and 2 years as district treasurer; charter member and past president of the Durant Woman's club; and a member of the Ladies Aid Society.

The couple resided in Durant where Mr. Mumm operated a hardware store with the late Herman Lamp. Mr. Mumm retired in 1951 and preceded his wife in death in 1956.

Surviving are: a son, Lt. Col. Fred E. Mumm, Durant; and 2 grandsons, James E. of Des Moines and John F. of Durant.
