Funeral services for William J. Malkmus were held at Sheets and Son funeral home at 1:30 p.m. July 3. Rev. Eugene Miller officiated and burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist. Pallbearers were Frank Loomis, Herman Roberts, Walter Wiese, Francis Lang, Fred Sanders and Herbert Walters. Mr. and Mrs. David Kingsbury were flower attendants.

Born Feb. 29, 1884 at Livermore, William Joseph Malkmus married Isabelle Adams at Rock Island, Ill. Sept. 15, 1934. He died at Cedar Manor nursing home June 29 after a lingering illness.

Malkmus was a resident of Tipton for the last 45 years, and was a carpenter and trucker by trade.

Surviving are his wife, Isabelle, of Tipton; 2 stepsons, Harold and Robert Turner, Tipton; a brother, Edward, Livermore and nieces and nephews.
