Last rites were held Saturday at Preston for Gustave Ruchotzke, 68, who died last Wednesday in his home near Miles.

Mr. Ruchotzke was born Dec. 25, 1895 near Lowden to Louis and Mary Ohlrogge Ruchotzke. He spent his early life in the Lowden area, moving to Green Island as a young man. On August 27, 1921 he married Mary McMahon in Maquoketa. The Ruchtozkes farmed until 1961 when they retired but remained on the farm.

Survivors include a son and two daughters; also five brothers and four sisters include Mrs. Earl Schoff of Oxford Mills and formerly of Lowden.
