Phillip H. Mattison, 62, a former resident of West Branch, died at a hospital in Omaha, Nebr. April 22 after a long illness.

Funeral services were April 25 in West Branch. The Rev. James Thompson officiated with burial in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Mattison was born in Cedar county, the son of Harry P. and Anna E. Barkhurst Mattison. He was married to Mabel Witmer and they lived in the West Branch area until moving to Omaha about 30 years ago.

Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Kaufman of Wilton Junction; 2 grandchildren and a brother.
