Last rites for Edward Lehman, 92, were held Dec. 12 at the Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial was in Woodridge cemetery at Buchanan.

Chalmer Keller, Gale Maurer, David Swan, Carl Bair, Arnold Driscoll and William Penningroth were pallbearers. Mrs. Gale Maurer and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Swan were in charge of flowers. Mrs. Richard Palmer was vocalist.

Mr. Lehman died at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids, Dec. 9 following a long illness.

The son of Gottlieb and Charlotte Fankhauser Lehman, he was born at Powahatan Point, Ohio, Sept. 15, 1874 and was educated in the rural schools of Monroe county, Ohio.

He was married to Abbie Edwards in Tipton Oct. 11, 1899.

He was a retired farmer, having lived in Cedar county near Buchanan for 72 years. He was a former member of the Union church at Buchanan.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Enice Roth, Bellaire, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter in infancy, a brother and a sister.
