15 December 1966 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for William E. Kunde, 75, will be held at the First Methodist church in Tipton at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16. Sheets and Son is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Kunde died early Dec. 14 at the Hawker Nursing home in West Liberty, following a long illness.

Funeral services for William E. Kunde, 75, were held Dec. 16 at the First Methodist church with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dale Stiff, Don Willcutt, Norman Davisson, H. P. Walters, Donald Simmons and Roger Jurgensen. Mr. and Mrs. Wilmar Williams and Mrs. James Shontz were in charge of flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Don Parker were vocalists.

Mr. Kunde died Dec. 14 at the Hawker Nursing home at West Liberty after a lingering illness.

The son of Ernest and Albertina Mielke Kunde, he was born Nov. 15, 1891 at Clinton and was educated at Zion Lutheran school at Clinton. He was married to Lucie Kunde at DeWitt Oct. 18, 1918 near DeWitt.

He had lived in the Tipton area since 1938 and was a retired farmer. He was a member of First Methodist church, Tipton.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Wilma) Schwitzer, Tipton; 3 sons, Ernest and Elmer, Tipton and Eugene, Dubuque; a brother, Arthur, Clinton; 11 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
